I went to EvoB during Restaurant Week with a friend. Their menu looked very promising, loaded with gluten free items. The website is misleading; the online menu does not reflect how many options they have. My suggestion is to download the PDF menu. Each GF item is marked. This includes a couple of salads and hors douvers, Seafood Paella, Wild Mushroom Risoto, Shrimp Ceviche, Crab Fritters, Scallops Meuniere, Chicken Kebab, Steak Frites, Lomo Saltado, and Grilled Beef Tenderloin plus more.
From the Prix Frixe menu I selected the the Chickpea Fritters, Grilled Beef Tenderloin, and Flourless Chocolate. My dining companion went with the Shrimp and Grits, also the Grilled Beef Tenderloin, and bread pudding. Obviously the latter was off limits, but her starter was not <place evil grin here>.
Every morsel was gastronomic paradise, with the a capital P. The fritters elegantly spiced, the tenderloin juicy and delish, and the dessert was bellissimo. Not one bad thing can I say. My friends Shrimp and Grits was also sublime. They also tout an extensive wine menu to boot.
I look forward to going back soon to try some of their other tempting offerings. One item in particular that stands out is the Mashwi (Spiced lamb served with ratatouille). One thing to keep in mind is that their menu is seasonal and changes regularly. One will not suffer from boredom here.
Additional note: Give yourself a few extra minutes to locate this gem. It is a little tucked away. You can also call the staff for directions. GPS is not as helpful here.
